Oncogenic cooperations in β-catenin-dependent HCC

Recent data from whole-exome sequencing of human liver tumors pointed towards new mutations, involving new oncogenes and tumor suppressors. We assess in vivo in mice the role of these new mutations in cooperation with those affecting β-catenin, focusing on mutated epigenetic players. We recently focused on the Arid1a chromatin remodeler, which is a new modulator of β-catenin transcription in the hepatocyte (Riou et al., eLife 2020).
