Eight CRC researchers in the list of “Highly Cited Researchers” 2023

The list of Highly Cited Researchers™ identified by Clarivate in 2023 has just been published.

The HCR list identifies scientists whose publications in the Web of Science are among the top 1% most cited over the past decade, ranked by disciplinary field. They represent the researchers with the greatest impact and influence in their field.

Once again this year, the Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers is in the spotlight, with 8 Highly Cited Researchers (HCR), including two newcomers to the ranking: Catherine Sautès-Fridman, an expert in immuno-oncology, and Aurélien de Reyniès, a bioinformatician.

Jessica Zucman-Rossi: MD-PhD, Professor at the University of Paris and the Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou (AP-HP) – Current Director of the Cordeliers Research Center and Director of the Functional Genomics of Solid Tumors team at CRC. Cross field category.

Wolf Hervé Fridman: Group leader at Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers in the Inflammation, Complement and Cancer team. Historic CRC founder. Cross field category.

Catherine Sautès-Fridman: Co-group leader in the Inflammation, Complement and Cancer team. Cross field category.

Aurélien de Reyniès: Bioinformatician working on cancer biology, director of the MUST team (Multiscale and spatiotemporal modeling in oncology), currently being created, and of the CRC’s bioinformatics platform. Currently with the Personalized Medicine, Pharmacogenomics and Therapeutic Optimization team. Cross Field category.

Jérôme Galon: Director of the Laboratory of Integrative Cancer Immunology at CRC. Winner of the 2019 European Inventor Award. Co-founder of Veracyte (formerly HalioDX). Identified as a HCR by Clarivate since 2020. Cross Field category.

Vlad Ratziu: PU-PH, gastroenterologist at La Pitié-Salpétrière Hospital, researcher in CRC’s Metabolic Diseases, Diabetes and co-morbidities. Category: Clinical Medicine.

Oliver Kepp: Researcher in the Métabolisme, Cancer et Immunité team, he is also Director of the Cellular Screening Facility at Institut Gustave Roussy. Immunology category.

Guido Kroemer: Director of the Métabolisme, Cancer et Immunité team at CRC. Contributor to more than 1000 publications, he is the only researcher in the world to appear in 5 different categories: Immunology, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacology and Immunology: Immunology, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biology and Biochemistry. He has been listed in several categories every year since 2020.

This year, 6849 researchers from 67 countries/regions are ranked HCR. France ranks 8th worldwide, as it did last year, with 139 researchers identified across all fields.
